It was three up and three down for the Okotoks Oilers over the weekend.

They won all three of their road games and moved back into third place in the AJHL.

And the wins were impressive as the team scored 18 goals and only allowed eight goals over the three-day stretch.

The green and gold beat the Bonnyville Pontiacs 6-3 on Friday, then they drove to Fort McMurray for a pair of games on Saturday and Sunday.

The Oilers beat the Oil Barons 4-1 on Saturday night and then hammered them 8-4 on Sunday afternoon.

With the three wins they've jumped back into third place in the AJHL with 65 points to the 64 points the Blackfalds Bulldogs have in fourth. However, the Bulldogs have one game in hand.

And the Oilers are now riding a 7-game winning streak and have yet to lose in 2024.

The team now can rest up for a pair of home games this Friday and Saturday.
