High River recycles over 1,300 tonnes in 2025
The Town of High River recycled over 1,300 tonnes of material in 2025 through the Recycling Centre. The town said it was an incredible achievement and true reflection of a community that cares. In total, the community recycled 1,391.7 tonnes. The town reported the following totals: Mixed paper – 114.3 tonnes Corrugated plastic – 190.2 tonnes Mixed plastic – 60.3 tonnes Tin – 15.7 tonnes Grass/leaves – 383.8 tonnes Wood – 84.4 tonnes Metal – 34.2 tonnes #6 Styrofoam – 8.6 tonnes Glass – 13.8 tonnes Yard waste – 362.5 tonnes Small batteries – 2.4 tonnes Electronics – 36.9 tonnes Misc. recycling – 84.5 tonnes The town thanks the community for doing their part in reducing waste and protecting the environment. “Every box, bag, and bundle adds up, and together, we are making a real difference,” said the town.
