The 2024 Grande Prairie Stompede chuckwagon canvas auctions have come to a close paying out nearly $500,000 to 40 different drivers.
It's about $18,000 less from last year but that's due to not as many wagons in it this year, with 44 last year compared to 40 this year.
The highest earner is Jamie Laboucane with $40,000. Following Laboucane was local talent Jason Glass acquiring $15,000, Dayton Sutherland with $9,500, and Jordie Fike getting $8,000.
The Grande Prairie Stompede starts on May 29 and goes until June 2 at Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie.
