Two confirmed cases of COVID-19 now have Foothills Composite High School dealing with an outbreak.

According to the school's website, confirmation of the cases was received by the school late yesterday evening, and the individuals were last in the facility on Friday, September 11.

Parents and guardians of students who may have been in close contact with the individuals have been notified, and students have been asked to stay home and self isolate until further investigation is completed by Alberta Health Services.

The school will remain open to in-person learning, and will support those who must self isolate with at- home learning.

Foothills Comp is working to ensure the safety of all students and staff with enhanced cleaning protocols by custodial staff and will focus on where the individuals were present, as well as high touch areas and surfaces.
