The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) is celebrating its 100-year anniversary and High River is doing their part to help celebrate the accomplishment on Monday (April 1).

Hank Leeferink of High River Parades and Lights Society (HRPALS) has helped put up some new lights at the George Lane Park gates to show their support for the RCAF.

"Darline and company from the town took down the Christmas lights and put up beautiful new blue lights. On April the first at sunset the lights will be on and stay on until April the second at sunrise," Leeferink said.

"Come down and have a look, it's part of the celebration of 100 years of the RCAF caring and looking after us."

The blue lights to pay tribute to the RCAF will start at sunset on April 1, and turn off at sunrise on April 2.
