Last night, (Nov.15), was a special one for Calgary Flames fans!

We got to watch Flames icon and Canadian legend, Jarome Iginla, get inducted to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

He's played over 1,500 games in the NHL, led the league in most goals in the 01'- 02' and 03'- 04' seasons with the Flames, he was a six time NHL All-Star, a three time Olympian, winning gold twice with one of those times watching Sid the Kid score the famous OT goal on Canadian soil and now he is a HALL OF FAMER.

I don't know about you but this man was my idol growing up...he was a lot of people's idol, whether he was on or off the ice.

I seriously don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad thing about Iginla but how could you? The man is a class act and his induction is so well deserved.

Way to go Iggy!! I know ALL Flames fans are ecstatic on your newest milestone!

We here in the Foothills are definitely proud!

I know many of us have Jarome Iginla stories, from being lucky enough to meet him or having his mom as a substitute teacher! So share your story in the comments!

I don't personally have an 'Iggy' story but I do remember being in the fourth grade when the Flames made their Stanley Cup run and my sister and I wore our Flames t-shirts and made signs that said "Honk if you want the Flames to win" and sat on the boulevard in Nanton before their games to get hyped up! lol.

Not a lot of cars went by, but all of them honked!

Congrats, Jarome.
