The Okotoks Oilers didn't let the news of the jump to the BCHL next season get in the way of winning over the weekend.

Friday night was a great night for fans of the Green Army as the hometown crowd cheered on the team to a 5-4 win over the Grande Prairie Storm.  Sam Huck netted a pair in the win.

And then Saturday night the team downed the Spruce Grove Saints 5-2.

Over 1,000 fans attended both games with another home game on tap tomorrow night as they host the Canmore Eagles.

The Okotoks Oilers stretched their third-place lead on the Blackfalds Bulldogs with the pair of wins and now sit at 68 points to the Bulldogs 63, however, the Oilers have one game in hand.
