The Okotoks Oilers and the Brooks Bandits battled it out in Brooks on Tuesday night in preseason action.

And it was the Brooks Bandits coming away with a 3-2 overtime win.

Bandits' defenseman Hughie Hooker scored just 33 seconds into overtime on a feed from Nicholas DeGraves.

The Oilers lead 2-1 after two periods on goals from Tyson Murray and Braeden Veldhuizen. Murray also picked up an assist on Veldhuizen's goal.

Rookie netminder Christian Green faced 25 shots, stopping 22.

Both teams lace up the skates again for two more pre-season games this Friday in Okotoks and then back in Brooks on Saturday.

 

And tonight, Wednesday Sept. 6th the Okotoks Oilers have a volunteer information night starting at 6:00 p.m.
