The Okotoks Oilers had Green Army fans on their feet over the weekend as the hometown team tinkled the twine 12 times over two games.

The Oilers had the Lloydminster Bobcats in town on Friday and the Oilers racked up six goals in a 6-1 win with Owen MacNeil potting two goals and adding two assists for a four-point night. Allen Sherpa also scored his first AJHL goal in the win as netminder Christian Green stopped 14 of the 15 shots for the win.

And the Oilers weren't done yet as they welcomed the Drayton Valley Thunder on Sunday for another 4:15 p.m. matinee.  And the Oilers capitalized cruising to a 6-0 shutout victory. Brett Wilson scored two goals in the win with Mikael Kingo saving all 15 shots for the shutout.

The Oilers are currently battling it out for third place in the AJHL with the Blackfalds Bulldogs and with both teams notching wins over the weekend the Oilers remain just one point ahead of the Bulldogs for third place with 58 points versus the 57 points the Bulldogs have.

The Green and Gold now get ready for a three-game road trip this upcoming weekend as the Oilers are riding a four-game winning streak.
