The Foothills' Mark Sutherland just missed out on the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Championship finishing in second yesterday.

Sutherland made the final three-wagon heat on Sunday afternoon but just missed out on the championship by just over a half second.

Jamie Laboucane was ultimately the winner with Codey McMurrach coming in third.

Sutherland entered Sunday's race after finishing first in the 3-day aggregate on Saturday night.

The WCPA tour now moves to Ponoka, which Mark Sutherland has won, starting tomorrow, Tuesday June 27.
