The sun came out for the Little Britches Parade taking place in downtown High River! The Eagle Street team had a wonderful time observing the different displays of talent. The theme for this year's parade was "A Salute to High River First Responders" so paramedics, fire fighters, policemen, and more were all gathered in their vehicle of choice. Marching bands from schools and 4H also performed lively music, adding a wonderful sense of camradarie to the day!

Furthermore, our team also took a trip to High River Rodeo Grounds where the Little Britches Rodeo took place. It was wonderful to see younger and older kids taking part in the activities and playing an active role in the rodeo community! All the horses were well-groomed and highly trained and so it was incredibly interesting to see them participate so professionally in the rodeo, despite the young age of the kids riding them!

Along with the rodeo, there were also different events including barrel racing, goat tying, team roping and a rehearsal by the Calgary Stampede's own! Lastly, there was also a nice display of food trucks of local businesses - a cold ice cream cone on a hot summer's day can't hurt!

Take a glimpse of our time there below!
