Good afternoon Okotoks! My name is Emma Thorn. I am excited to be joining the Eagle team as the new summer events coordinator. I am looking forward to meeting many new people throughout our community and participating in all upcoming events that make Okotoks a vibrant and exciting community to live in.  My family has been part of this community for over 20 years and I am proud to call this town my home. In 2017I graduated from Holy Trinity Academy. I recently finished my second year as a marketing student at Mount Royal University. I will be spending the summer attending local events and will keep you all posted on events that are upcoming.

The people in Okotoks is what makes this community my home. The familiar friendly faces that you run into throughout the day makes me feel welcome no matter where I go. Strong community connections run through the veins of Okotoks. These connections are the driving force for continued growth that makes Okotoks a vibrant community to be a part of.

The Sheep River has many walking paths that I enjoy taking my dog for a walk on. The photo above is my little oasis close to my home. The sound of the running water and birds chirping is my favorite way to relax.

Okotoks has tons of character that gives it a small town charm. The Rotary performing arts center is one of the towns historical sites that I love. I enjoy attending the plays conducted by local residents. The Okotoks Art gallery adds a pop of color to old towne Okotoks and is always a place that I have loved going to check out local artists works.

Over the next few months, I will be attending many local events hosted in the foothills region. I hope to see many of you there enjoying the diverse attractions held throughout the community. If there is an event that you would like me to attend please send me an email at:
