Saturday a local facility celebrated a big milestone as well as a announcement.

Shannon Kleibrink who works for the Regional Field House says that the day celebrated the community coming together.

"It is the first operations at the Fieldhouse and announcing our new name Crescent Point Regional Field House," Says Kleibrink.

Kleibrink says that the day had drop in activities for kids to have fun.

"We had an activity scavenger hunt where kids went around to the different stations played a different sport and earned a free drop in pass. Along with treats from Cobbs Bread, McDonalds and Sobeys."

She says that the facility is where communities can come together.

The fieldhouse has multiple different activities run out of it with 122 different groups using it.

"The day is just a celebration of the growth of our facility." Says Kleibrink.

Mayor Bill Robertson was also at the celebration showing his support.
