The Foothills School Board will meet June 3 to pass it's 2020--2021 Budget and three-year Education Plan.

Superintendent Chris Fuzessy says there have been some changes made to when everything has to be done.

"With the new funding model Alberta Education is moving toward what they're calling an assurance funding model, and in that, one of the main differences, I suppose is building the Education Plan in alignment with the budget and consulting widely on that," he says.

Fuzessy says they usually did the Education Plan in November so officials have had to update that plan, to bring it in line with the budget.

He says they had a stakeholder meeting on the Education Plan set for earlier this month but had to pull the plug because of the Corona virus shut down.
