Have you ever been stressed and you didn't know until your body told you?

Weird question, I know lol. But that literally happened to me today.

I still don't know what I am stressed about but the party of canker sores in my mouth and the continuous twitch of my right eye is telling me differently. (Literally my eye lid feels like it's twerking on my eyeball.)

Again, weird, I know. Probably T.M.I. but it made me think even though things are going back to normal it's still a stressful time for everyone. A lot of things remain up in the air right now.

And it's totally okay to be stressed!

But here's a list of simple things you can do to relieve your stress and help you get back on track:

1. Chew Gum. Apparently chewing gum promotes blood flow to the brain & helps you relax. Especially the HARDER you chew. We'll look like cows but relaxed cows.

2. Reduce Your Caffeine Intake. High doses of caffeine can cause anxiety so avoid the shakes and kick the coffee for a bit!

3. Write it Down. Oh I like this one, I journaled for a while and found it really helped me organize my thoughts & emotions. It literally took a weight off.

4. YOGA. It can enhance your mood and help with stress! The town is actually offering free online yoga classes for the rest of the month! Start there.

5. Laugh! Love this. It relieves your stress response and actually relaxes muscle tension. So throw on a stand up comedy & get to laughin!

But my question to you is how do you react to stress? Do you have any weird tell-tales when you are stressed out? (like an eye twitch lol)

Also this was the AHS Covid 19 Hope text of the day: If you are in a mental health or stress-related crisis and at risk, help is available. Call the distress line at 1-877-303-2642.

Make sure you're taking care of yourself right now!
