After a slight hiccup at the start of the school year the Foothills School Division has managed to stay off the Province's classroom COVID list.

Superintendent Chris Fuzessy says a lot of the credit goes to parents who are following the rules and keeping kids home if they show symptoms.

"We recognize that this causes difficulties and hardships, and we're just very deeply appreciative of community and staff members respecting that in order to keep our schools open and safe and keep kids learning during this unusual school year," he says.

Fuzessy says the community collaboration keeps them in a good spot and will hopefully continue to keep them off the list.

Other than a couple of cases at Meadow Ridge and Foothills Composite high school in the early days of the school year, the division's been COVID free.
