Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning is in effect for Foothills County, including the following regions:

  • Foothills Co. near Diamond Valley
  • Foothills Co. near Okotoks and De Winton
  • Foothills Co. near Priddis and Brown-Lowery Prov. Park
  • Rocky View Co. near Bragg Creek and Tsuu T'ina Res.

A narrow band of heavy snow is moving through the area this evening and we are expected to receive up to 10 cm of snowfall.

Environment Canada also warns commuters that the snow could cause nearly zero visibility.

The heavy snowfall will taper off later in the evening.

Environment Canada is advising people to be prepared to adjust their driving to suit the conditions of the road, as this may bring delays for commuters.
