A few Alberta distilleries had a great showing at the 2024 World Whiskies Awards.

In total, Alberta-based distilleries brought home 10 medals with two gold, five silver, and three bronze medals.

Among them was Diamond Valley-based Eau Claire Distillery.

Their Alberta Single Malt Whisky Batch 7 won gold, along with Anohka's This Is Not Whisky, Heavily Peated Single Malt Spirit.

Eau Claire's Rupert's Exceptional Canadian Whisky Blended also bagged a silver medal.
