The residents of Seasons Retirement Community in High River were certainly in the giving mood this summer.

Between July 3 and 14, Seasons High River hosted its annual "One Can Make a Difference" company-wide challenge to collect the most canned and non-perishable food items for the local food bank.

This year, Seasons Retirement Communities across Canada brought in more than 6,300 cans in addition to donating a combined total of $42,000.

It all goes to Food Banks Canada, a charitable organization representing the food bank community across the country.

"At Seasons Retirement Communities in High River, we stand firm in our pledge to uplift seniors in our communities, and the Seasons’ One ‘Can’ Corporate Challenge exemplifies our dedication," says Chrystal Maude, Fund Manager at Seasons Retirement Communities in High River. "With the enduring issue of food insecurity affecting older adults, our mission to support them remains resolute. By contributing to the well-being of the communities our residents and team members cherish as home, we reaffirm the strength of our commitment."

Every year, Seasons Retirement Communities in Alberta and Ontario come together to make a positive impact in the communities in which they operate.
