Rae Croteau Jr takes the Battle of the North in Dawson Creek

The Champion of the Battle of the North chuckwagon races in Dawson Creek, B.C. is Rae Croteau Jr.

Croteau picks up $30,000 from the dash for cash final on Sunday.  Jamie Laboucane finished second by just 14 one hundreds of a second.

It's the first win in Dawson Creek for Croteau.

As far as local wagon racers go, Jason Glass finished 7th in the aggregate on Saturday with Jordie Fike ending up in 11th with Dayton Sutherland finishing in 16th.

Only the top four wagons after the aggregate on Saturday night qualified for the $30,000 dash for cash final heat on Sunday.

The WPCA tour now heads to Rocky Mountain House for the Battle of the Rockies starting this Thursday.
