The Okotoks Oilers AJHL pre-season got underway on Friday, Sept. 1 with a big win.

They beat the Canucks in Calgary 5-2 with goals from Connor Gourley, Shayne Tibbles, Jackson Rowland, Rylan Brown and Thomas Matte.

However, the Canucks turned the table on the Oilers in Okotoks at the Centennial Arena on Saturday night when the Canucks beat the Oil 4-3.

Oilers goals came from Sam Huck and Brayden Gourley picked up a pair in the loss.

The Oilers now face off against the Brooks Bandits for three games to wrap up the five-game exhibition season.

Game one goes tonight in Brooks at 6:30 p.m.
