Okotoks' boil water advisory has been fully lifted.

Lab results on water from affected areas came up clear.

Two days prior, the town had lifted the ban for a handful of areas, though it still applied to several parts of northern Okotoks.

Homes that were affected are required to flush and sanitize their pipes as well as devices used to treat or store water.

The town listed the following methods:

- Turn on all taps and flush water lines for at least 5 minutes (10 minutes in an apartment building).

- Read instructions from the manufacturer for how to flush, clean, and sanitize containers that protect and store drinking water (called cisterns), water filters, as well as ice and water dispensers.

- Drain and refill hot water tanks that are set below 45º C.

- Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle (see manufacturer instructions).

The outdoor watering ban remains in effect, and the fire ban was just lifted.
