The Okotoks Dawgs put up a complete effort Thursday night in a 12-1 win over the Swift Current 57’s.

The Dawgs pitching would put a display on striking out 16 batters.

The Dawgs bats continue to roll as they recorded 12 hits.

This victory makes it 10 straight for the Dawgs as they sit first place in the WCBL at 20-5.

Alejandro Cazorla (Bossier Parish CC, LA) hit his second homerun of the season in a two-homerun inning capped off by a 3-run blast by Connor Crowson (University of Montevallo, AL) extending the lead. Crowson would finish the night 3 for 4 with 4 RBI. Ricky Sanchez (Barton College, NC) would record 2 RBI on 2 hits in the game. Logan Grant (Bellevue University, NE) would add to his hit streak tonight, extending it to 10 games. Logan Rumburg (George Mason University, VA) was dialed in tonight going 4 innings of shut-out ball, striking out 10 out of the 15 batters he faced.

The Bullpen came in and continued the strong night as they allowed 1 hit and 1 run to seal the victory.

The Dawgs will wrap up the quick series vs Swift Current on Friday June 30th at Seaman Stadium, with opening pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.

The Dawgs welcome the Brooks Bombers to Seaman Stadium on Saturday for Canada Day, with opening pitch set for 7:05pm.
