The Carstar Okotoks Bisons couldn't capture the "W" in their second game of provincials, falling to the La Crete Lumber Barons by a score of 5-1 in Peace River.

The Herd would continue hammering pucks on net finishing with a shot total of 50-25 in their favour, but it wasn't enough to get past the Lumber Barons.

Periods one and two would see only the Lumber Barons on the scoreboard with three goals in the first, followed by another two goals in the second.

The Bisons would finally solve the Lumber Barons' netminder in the third breaking his shutout with a goal coming from Jake Snashall, his first goal of the provincials this year. That was the only goal the Herd could muster.

Okotoks will have little time to dwell on the loss as they take on the host team, the North Peace Navigators, at 7:00 on Friday night (April 5) in their third game of the provincials.
