Dates for over 40 in-person engagement sessions on Alberta's healthcare system have been released.

The provincial government announced plans for the sessions back in December, and Albertans were asked to weigh in on where they'd like to see sessions be held.

These engagement events are intended to garner feedback from Albertans and the province's healthcare workers as part of the provincial government's efforts to create a new healthcare delivery system.

Three sessions are being held in the Foothills area:

  • Claresholm: Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • High River: Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 5-7 p.m.
  • Okotoks: Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

According to the provincial government, a few ministers will be in attendance at many of the sessions.

"Members of Alberta’s government will attend these sessions wherever possible, including Minister of Health Adriana LaGrange, Minister of Seniors, Community and Social Services Jason Nixon, Minister of Mental Health and Addiction Dan Williams, and Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Health Martin Long," reads a provincial media release.

Attendees are asked to register online prior to the event.
