The Clarkson Cup came to Okotoks and it was joined by some amazing female hockey players. CWHL players Taryn Peacock and Haley Irwin of the Calgary Inferno were at the event. The stop-over in Okotoks is just one stop for the Prairie Toyota Clarkson Cup Tour. The tour is making 26 stops in just 8 weeks, in towns and cities across the prairies. The biggest highlight of the tour is the huge mobile synthetic ice rink. Kids get the chance to show of their skills, and learn a bunch from some of the best hockey players in Canada. The kids took to the ice with Taryn and Haley and had a blast! The goal of the event is to take the opportunity to help grow the sport of hockey in our very own backyard and to inspire young people and create some new fans of women's hockey. In addition to the ice rink, Toyota also had several of their vehicles on display and were signing people up for a chance to win a brand new Rav4. This event was an amazing opportunity for the young hockey fans in our community, and one that they won't forget anytime soon. They were all very excited to be there and showed off some great moves on the ice! Thanks to the Prairie Toyota Dealers for making it all possible!
