It's a pivotal South Division game for the Okotoks Oilers (18-8-4) Friday night.

The Oilers welcome the team they're chasing for second spot in the division when the Calgary Canucks (22-9-1)come to Pason Centennial Arena.

It's a five point gap from second to third between the Canucks and Oilers with the green and gold having two games in hand.

The Oilers are coming off a 2-1 shootout win against the Camrose Kodiaks at home on Tuesday while the Canucks dropped their previous tilt 3-2 against the same Kodiak team on December 3.

The season series is currently a 2-0 lead for the Oilers.

Puck drop goes at 7 p.m.

Okotoks will be back in action again on Saturday night when they host the Olds Grizzlys.
