A big celebration for Foothills County's CAO this week, as Harry Riva-Cambrin, celebrates 40 years with the County.

He says it's gone by fast.

"Well, I certainly enjoy the work and the challenge that it brings. I enjoy the people I work with and have had great councils, elected people over the years. So that certainly has made it quite pleasant."

He says he's seen a lot of change over the last 40 years.

"Our population has more than doubled. The types of services we deliver to our residents has increased substantially over those years. Change has come. Federal and Provincial governments have changed and done a lot of things to make life more interesting."

He has no official timeline to retire, but says it'll be sooner rather than later.
