About four-tenths of a second was all that separated High River's Jordie Fike from his first ever WPCA Tour Win Sunday in Bonnyville.

He finished in third, just that far behind the winner Luke Tournier.

Tournier says he knew it was going to be a close one for him.

"The nail biting was after the eighth heat because we thought we had a good run, but the time was pretty slow, so we started looking at the sheet wondering who could catch us here? We had it narrowed down to Jordie Fike who had to be very, very close and then they came and picked us up to take us out for the winner's presentation."

Okotoks Mark Sutherland was 10th, while High River's Jason Glass was 23rd.

The drivers now head to Strathmore for Heritage Days starting Friday.
