The Foothills Composite High School hosted a senior girls basketball tournament this weekend.

The Foothills Falcons Senior Girls team finished fourth at the Falcons Invitational after a 97-81 loss to Mt. Baker Wild in a third place match.

Jadie O’Bray was named tournament MVP for FCHS.

The tourney had teams from all over southern Alberta competing.

Lee Helton, Assistant Coach for the senior girl's basketball team at the Foothills Composite says the girls are excited to focus on the game now that exams are wrapped up.

"It's great because it's one of the first tournaments back after the exam break and Christmas break, so its always after Christmas you get about a week of basketball then you have exams, so the girls are all done exams and are ready to get back into basketball again."

Helton says the team is focusing on coming together with all the new players.

"We have some girls coming back from next year and lots of new girls, so we are just trying to gel as a team and we're working hard at being consistent and growing each game and each tournament, one thing we look for is growing each game."
