It was a triumphant return to school for the Tier II Provincial Football Champion Foothills Falcons this week.

They blew out the defending champion, St. Joseph's Celtics 69-15 Saturday to claim their first Alberta title since 2009.

Coach Darren Olson says the Falcons were very much a "team of destiny" in that final game.

"It was one of those games where everything kind of came together for our guys. You know we had Landon Rose back in the game for us running the ball. (Quarterback) Trey Kellogg ran the ball really well. Our defence gave us 10 turnovers right, and we took advantage of those turnovers, and it worked out really well for us."

In all Rose scored five touchdowns, while the Falcons put up over 600 yards of offence in the game, setting records along the way.
