A Calgary man has been charged after a collision with a cyclist on Sunday.

Cochrane RCMP responded to a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle on Highway 22 near Bragg Creek on August 13.

The cyclist was airlifted to a Calgary hospital via STARS.

Today (August 14) Cochrane RCMP announced that charges have been laid against the driver, a 19-year-old man from Calgary.

He's been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

According to RCMP, the driver's name won't be released "until an information is sworn."

The cyclist is still in hospital with serious injuries.
