The Okotoks Dawgs defeated the Edmonton Prospects 12-9 on Saturday.

Kellen Marruffo had another great game for the Dawgs, as he had four hits, including a solo shot to left field, three RBIs, three runs and one walk as he helped control the high tempo offensive.

Brendan Rose had a three-hit game along with two runs. Josh McIntyre had two RBIs and one hit.

JT Patterson had a two-run double in the first inning.

Liam Stroud got the start against the Prospects, and received his first win, moving to a record of 1-2 with five no decisions.

Stroud went 5.1 innings, as he gave up 12 hits, five runs, two walks and four strikeouts.

Tyler Burdett, Anthony Baldaras and Michael Bucci all came in to pitch relief.

Saturday was also the annual Breast Cancer game where the Dawgs auctioned off the players and coaches jerseys.

In addition to the jerseys, the Dawgs also received a donation from the Okotoks Fire Department as they raised over $1400.

The Dawgs jerseys in total raised more than $20,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Dawgs are on the road the next couple days, as they travel to Medicine Hat on Sunday and Brooks on Monday.

They will then finish the regular season with a four-game homestand against Fort McMurray and Medicine Hat.
