Coworking Takeover Week is here in Okotoks.

The initiative is intended to draw residents who typically work from home into public spaces, where they can network and grow their contact base.

Businesses can register as vendors, opening up their area for a public workspace this week.

The town is hosting Coworking Takeover Week to give self-employed, remote, or freelance workers the opportunity to work in open, creative spaces.

Leslie Warren, Economic Development Specialist with the Town, says the event will help bring individuals who work from home out into the community.

"A big part of working at home is the isolation, and this is attempting to overcome some of that issue," Warren said.

Residents who are interested in joining the event can find information at www.coworkinokotoks.com.
