High River RCMP are trying to track down a man and a women they believe were handing out phoney American money.

They say on Monday December 7, about 5 p.m. they got a call from the Boston Pizza along 12th Avenue.

The man and woman entered the lounge, looked around and then moved to the dining room where they ordered food and drinks.

When they left, the pair left a small amount of Canadian money sitting on top of the counterfeit American bills.

The day before that, on Sunday, what is believed to be the same woman checked out of the Heritage Inn.

Upon examination, the damage deposit left appears to be the same counterfeit American currency.

RCMP are looking to speak with a woman with shorter straight black hair, driving a red or maroon SUV, possibly a 2002 Dodge Durango.

They are also warning all businesses to be careful with any American currency customers leave.
