in the south division, two points behind Cochrane with a game in hand.

The High River Flyers dropped a pair to open the new year.

The Flyers were blanked 5-0 by the Wheatland Kings in Strathmore Saturday.

Home ice wasn't a lot friendlier as the host Flyers dropped a 5-1 decision to the Cochrane Generals Sunday.
