Some Foothills County residents have been notified recently that their mailing address is going to change.

Canada Post is making these changes so the mailing address matches the civic (physical) address of rural residents.

According to the Foothills County website, "If you’ve received this notification from Canada Post, it is your responsibility to notify the Land Titles Office with your address change, legal name changes and spelling corrections to your Certificate of Title."

Once the Alberta Land Title Office has updated the Land Title, they will inform Foothills County electronically of the changes.

Those who received a new address with either a Foothills County or Heritage Pointe postal code, it's best to ensure that it matches your civic address.

If not, contact Foothills County at (403) 603-6241.
