It was a strong start for the Oilfields Curling Club yesterday at the U-18 mens Provincals.

The Jacob Libbus rink won both of their draws. First beating the Trembley rink from Fort St. John 9-3, followed by another over Edmonton's Braden Pelech 5-4.

The Jared Palanuik rink also kicked off the tournament with two wins. First they crushed the Pelech rink from Edmonton 10-1, and followed that up by defeating Lyndin Stone's team 5-3.

Another day of curling kicks off on Saturday at noon. The teams from Black Diamond, Jacob Libbus and Jared Palanuik, will be going head to head to begin this second day of competition.

To the end the day in Draw 4, Libbus will battle Stone, and Palanuik will take on Jacques, Saturday night at 6pm.
