Y'all, I hate to say it, but we are on the back half of summer...so we have no weekends to waste!

If you're worried about what to do this weekend, you're in luck my friend, I've got you completely covered. 

Basically, the rest of August is jam-packed with activities so I'll keep you updated the best I can!

This weekend, August 13-15, there are eight things on my radar that you need to check out:

1. High River Toyota presents Reels on Wheels: Technically this isn't on the weekend BUT this Thursday, August 12, go check out 'Jumanji: Next Level' on a 4-story screen! All donations from the drive-in are going towards the High River Food Bank. Details HERE.

2. Baseball Day in Canada: Baseball fans unite! The Edmonton Prospects are hosting a sweet event, August 14, that features a doubleheader versus our Okotoks Dawgs at Seaman Stadium! (I know, kind of confusing!) The event ends with fireworks and the "running of the bases" so make sure you grab your tickets to cheer on the Dawgs as they battle it out to secure/claim a playoff spot! Details HERE. 

3. Okotoks Ag Society Country Concert: We don't play country music but that doesn't mean we don't listen to it! Dance the night away, August 13, to Blake Reid Band, Over the Moon & Travelling Mabel at this fun concert. Music, food and drinks, you can never go wrong with any of those. Details HERE.

4. Turner Valley Summer Celebration: A pancake breakfast, a Stoney-Nakoda Elder blessing/performance, dance party, bouncy castles, pool party, fireworks AND more?? Let's just say Turner Valley will be turning up on Saturday, August 14! Details below. 

 

5. Stavely Indoor Pro Rodeo: If you're craving some more rodeo action the oldest indoor rodeo in Canada is heading outside this year! All the action's going down August 12-14, and all you need to know is it's outside, there's no cabaret but a daily beer garden instead with music to keep you entertained throughout the weekend. 6. Goodger Pink Family Theatre Presents: Jack & the Beanstalk: Kicking off this weekend and running for most of the month the Goodger Pink fam is bringing this classic fairy tale to life but with a twist! It's an outdoor event but with nice weather in the forecast it makes for an even better show! Details HERE.

7. Southern Alberta Musical Festival in Support of STARS Air Ambulance: Rain or shine! Live music, vendors, food trucks, beer gardens and it's kid-friendly! A great way to support the crucial work that STARS does in our province! Details below. 

 8. MARKETS: Of course I had to include all the hot spots to shop this weekend! We've got the High River Famers' Market on the 12th, the Okotoks Farmers' Market on the 13th, the Okotoks Elks Market and Millarville Market on the 14th.
