Okotoks residents are encouraged to get involved with local activities this fall.

The Okotoks Curling Rink will be filled with tables on Wednesday night where residents can learn about different programs.

Janette Messer, community programs and events manager, says it's the place to be.

"It's that one stop shop for all things Okotoks whether it's a preschool program, dance, or music program. We have so many different organizations coming in just to share what they have to offer in the community and some of them you can register for then and there and others will just provide you with information."

Messer adds she's seen some of the programs change over the 15 years she's been involved.

"We always see different programs but one of the other interesting things is some of the programs that used to come and do registration actually now do online registration so it's nice to see that morphing into other areas but it's really great to see all these people come back year after year and for them to be able to engage with the community and residents."

Each year the Parade of Programs sees upwards of 1,500 people.

The Parade of Programs runs from 6:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.
