Alberta Premier Rachel Notley landed in Beijing China Today, April 18, to begin a ten-day trade mission there and in Japan.

China and Japan are Alberta’s second- and third-largest trading partners, respectively.

Premier Notley will be talking about collaborating on climate change and growing capacity for clean technology and renewables.

In Tokyo, Alberta’s energy, lumber, beef and pork products will be at the forefront. The Premier is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding to promote collaboration on energy and technology.

Economic Development and Trade Minister Deron Bilous will join the premier.

April 26 there's an Alberta Agriculture roundtable and later a reception with key stakeholders featuring Alberta food products.

Before heading home on Thursday April 27, there's an Alberta agri-food product site visit planned.
