The Okotoks Eco Centre is making a few changes when it comes to hours.

From Tues.- Sat. the Eco Centre will now be open from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday, Monday, and all stat holidays.

The changes were approved by Town Council on Monday.

The Town based the decision off of data of the Centre's usage over a 12 month period and said the new hours better align with local business hours and eliminate times the Centre wasn't being used by the public.

This data showed that few residents used the facility on Thursdays from 5- 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8- 9 a.m.

The new hours begin Apr. 3.
