A collaborative investigation involving several RCMP detachments from Alberta and B.C, as well as the Calgary Police Service has resulted in the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles.

Mounties were called to a rural property off Highway 22 on May 18th and found a male suspect sleeping in a stolen Ford Super Duty pick up truck. They arrested the male without incident, leading to a subsequent investigation and recovery of a stolen GMC truck located at a near by property.

The suspect was arrested without incident and the investigation that followed led officers to a near by property where they located a stolen GMC truck, which the male suspect had they key for in his pocket. Another key was located on the suspect's person that belonged to a stolen Hyundai RCMP had previously towed.

In addition, Okotoks RCMP were able to locate and recover a Chevrolet car that was stolen from the High River detachment rural area.

45-year-old, Michael Andrew Zielinski of Calgary, is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

Zielinksi was remanded to custody and is to appear in Turner Valley Provincial Court on May 29th via CCTV. He also faces charges in connection to a stolen Toyota truck that was located in Elkford, British Columbia.
