The Alberta Chamber of Commerce is launching an online survey of members and non-members to determine how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting them.

The President and CEO of the Alberta chamber, Ken Kobly says there's been an almost daily release of government programs aimed at helping businesses.

"We wanted to get out into the field with a survey so that we could actually compile some data that we can send on to the Alberta and the Federal government, so far as how business is reacting, you know, what's their impression of things going forward, what are their impressions of the Federal programs that have been initiated," he says.

Kobly pointed to deferrals and whether business owners feel confident after the pandemic is over, they'll be able to come out of it with a lump sum payment for their deferrals.

He was glad to see the federal government Thursday expand the qualifications allowing more businesses to qualify for help from a minimum of $50,000 and a maximum of $1 million to a minimum of $20,000 and a maximum of $1.5 million.

Kobly says the survey is available at www.abchamber.ca.
