A 2-1 win for the Okotoks Oilers over the Camrose Kodiaks Sunday, March 12, in Camrose, gives the Oilers the sweep in their first round AJHL playoff series.

After a scoreless first period, Nolan Thompson got the Oilers on the board with a penalty shot in the second.

Jordan Xavier would get the winner early in the third period, while the Kodiaks would get their lone goal late in the game.

The Oilers will play either Drumheller or the Calgary Canucks in round two, with the Dragons leading that best of five series two games to one.

They'll play game four Monday, March 13, in Drumheller.

The other South Division series, had the Olds Grizzlys sweep the Canmore Eagles with a 4-3 overtime win Sunday night.

They'll take on the top seeded Brooks Bandits in the South Division semi-finals.
