Dreams of winning a medal are over for Canada's women's rugby sevens team.
Last night (July 29) they played France for a spot in the quarterfinals and suffered a 31-0 loss.
Up to that point, they had gained a win over Brazil and suffered a lost to Fiji.
During the latter game, Keyara Wardley of Vulcan was injured and taken off on a stretcher.
Wardley scored 10 points for Canada over two tries in their match against Brazil.
She hasn't been able to return for any of Canada's subsequent matches.
Team Canada finished with a 1-2 record in pool B and moved on to play Brazil again.
They beat them 45-0 and now move on to play Kenya tonight at 6:30 p.m. (Mountain time) in their final match to decide who gets 9th place.
