The Edmonton Prospects aren't rolling over for the Okotoks Dawgs in their first round playoff series.

The Prospects edged the Dawgs 2-1 Wednesday, August 2, to even up their best of five series at a game each.

Dawgs starter Justin Vernia went the distance for the home side giving up just the two runs on nine hits.

The Dawgs now head to Edmonton for games three and four in the series Thursday, August 3 and Friday, August 4.

If they need a fifth and deciding game, it'll go Saturday, August 5, back in Okotoks.
