RCMP have arrested and charged two men in connection with an armed robbery that happened on December 1st at Rock-A-Doodles Restaurant in High River.

According to RCMP the suspects held an employee and customer at knife point while removing money from the VLT's and took the safe before fleeing the scene in a stolen truck.

Robert Vincent, age 38, of High River is charged with a number of offences including, armed robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent to commit an offense, uttering threats (2 counts), possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition, and 2 counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Vincent has been remanded for a court appearance on December 23, at Okotoks Provincial Court.

The second suspect, Isaac Whittacase-Bird, 25, of High River is charged with, armed robbery, 2 counts of forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent to commit an offense, and 2 counts of uttering threats.

Whittacase-Bird was released from police custody by a Justice of the Peace and is set to appear in Okotoks Provincial Court on January 17, 2020.
