Alberta Parks has put out an alert about a bear coming close to people in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park.

They say a young grizzly has been seen chowing down on vegetation in close proximity to where people are.

The areas affected include: campgrounds at Boulton Creek, Interlakes, Lower Lake and Mount Sarrail walk-in tenting campground along with the Lower Lake day use area.

If you're headed to those areas you're urged to make plenty of noise and travel in groups, keep an eye on your surroundings, keep pets on a leash and take bear spray, keep it accessible and know how to use it.
