30 years after winning the first ever Alberta Cup as a player, Okotoks Minor Hockey's Jamie Steer won it again as a coach over the weekend.

His Calgary South team beat Team Northeast 9-3 in the finals to claim the title for the second year in a row.

Steer, says he's proud to represent Okotoks Minor Hockey at the tournament.

"It's great to see our kids playing for the South. The kids that I watched grow up and monitor their careers as they've gone through, and played on Bantam "AAA," on so on. It's an exciting thing for Okotoks and it's good to see. I'm always proud of my minor hockey association in Okotoks."

Steer says it's just as satisfying to win as a Coach as it was as a player.
